When Music Takes You Away To A World You Love....

For centuries now, Music has been developed to change the way a person feels while they are listening to it. For example, if you go to a yoga session, calm and ambient melodies are being played to allow people to relax while they are stretching. Where as in a rock concert, loud and  heavy sounding songs sends your blood pumping through your veins more which gives people an adrenaline rush and make you want to jump about and let yourself go.
Now for me, I'm the sort of person where I choose my music depending on the mood I'm feeling in at the time. If  I'm heading out for a long day at college, I tend to put on relaxing music to start off my day then as the day progresses, I tend to change it around a lot depending on how well or how bad the day goes for me.  Below I'm going to post a few songs that i preferably listen to and what mood it fits into.I'll even add the links to the YouTube videos, so it makes it easier for you lot to get a better idea....

Well I'm Alone There Now...... In Our Special Place

I knew I was going to make a post about this eventually. This is probably one of the hugest and most weirdest parts of my childhood that i grew up to love.  It was the genius
story lines that  got my attention the most about this game. The emotions,
the thought of losing someone in a town where strange happenings took place really grabbed my attention and the twisted riddles and graphic scenes left me glued to my computer screen since I was around the age of 7. Personally, I wouldn't say that each game that Konami developed got better and better, but their ideas of introducing new monsters, new storylines and characters really added to dark and eery atmosphere they wanted to pull off.
I would also like to mention in this post that the departure of Akira Yamoaka, one of the videogame soundtrack composers, and in my eyes, one of the most inspirational soundtrack writers, has really put a downside on my thoughts of Silent Hill.
And especially as I am getting the new game which is out in October, I don't feel like the atmosphere and the weird sounds (which did give me the shivers) will ever be as good as the old games.
On a more positive note, the graphics  of the new game Silent Hill :Downpour, has improved tremendously since the Homecoming game and the graphics seem so realistic, that I even mistook the intro for the trailer as an upcoming movie!

Invasion - EP in Progress

Most people who know me should know that music and wiritng music plays a huge role in my life. It doesn't play the biggest role as my family, my girlfriend and my friends come first, but without music, I don't believe that I would of been the same person as I am now.

After playing guitar for about 3 years, I decided to take my creativity a step further by sitting down for hours on end and putting loads of effort and time into making an instrumental EP called Invasion. I wasn't sure on what to call it at first, but the name 'Invasion' came to me as the music I started to write has a dark sound to it although the music itself is mainly acoustic.  The EP itself captures the idea of a little old farmhouse in the middle of no-where being overtaken or invaded from life on another planet through the form of music. I have even added a few interludes in their such as 'Promise Me' and 'Lullably' in the EP as extra songs which is more for the type of people who like the calmer, ambient style of music.

Even though this is only a work in progress at the moment, I'm hoping to re-record all the songs I have made and put them onto a CD, which I will be soon handing out and  advertising so that more people will be more aware of the creativity and effort I have made putting into them. From there, I'm hoping that the music spreads out like any other budding musician and hopefully become well known and more enjoyable to the ears :)

By the way, if you're intrigued to know about how it's coming along or want to listen to the demo songs I am going to put on there, feel free to check out my youtube channel : http://youtube.com/imaslowlearnerr and listen to the original compositions I have made so far. I've also got a soundcloud account for the music I have been making, which has all the songs on my youtube channel, plus other songs I have been working on and messing around with. So if you fancy checking that out too at : http://soundcloud.com/traitorstales , I would really appreciate it :)

P.S Don't forget to take it easy on me ;) I'm only 17 and have plenty of years to improve and express my creativity.

High Tops = Heart Drops!

So lately, I've been on a craze about high top trainers. Whether it's the old 'scene' me trying to come back alive and take over my fashion sense again I don't know but high tops seem to appeal to me most where ever and when ever I seem to walk into a shoe shop. What I've also noticed too is that since I have dyed my hair and cut my hair shorter, I've started to colour co-ordinate my clothes with my hair, or my clothes with my footwear and even the silly little things like bracelets and necklaces too. So that's why, if you have noticed by the pictures I have posted, the high tops are based around the blue colour.

Also, I just want to mention that this is also the first blog  I have ever wrote down, because I've never really been a big fan of writing but my girlfriend inspired me to start. I was really interested in her work that she has been studying at college, and having to write loads of blogs, explaining the process from the start and the actual concept of her ideas, it has inspired me to start blogging about interests of mine. Who knows, I might even plan out a story one day :)
